The movie from the INCLUDING project second field exercise devoted to the identification, recovery and decontamination from incident caused by stolen and missing orphan source, Caesium-137 (137 55Cs), or radio caesium is now available.
The second Joint Action took place from 13th till 16th September 2021, on restricted Military area in Mikkeli, Finland. It has been a successful exercise organized by the South-Savo Fire Department (SSAV) with the support of Mikkeli Development Miksei Company. Many observers from abroad, and local high-level representatives of rescue services took part in the training exercise. The Joint Action exercise, FTX Mikkeli, was a multi-agency field technical exercise (FTX) against Radiological/Nuclear (R/N) incident scenario caused by stolen and missing orphan source, Caesium-137 (137 55Cs), or radio caesium, which is a radioactive isotope of caesium. Various civilians were exposed accidentally to radiation source and several local authorities involved in the hazardous situation management. Many thanks to organizers!
